About me
I offer individual therapy for ages 16+ with a focus on chronic pain, religious trauma, medical trauma, identity concerns, and dissociation.
Many people come to this work after being overlooked or harmed by systems meant to help them. When your experiences haven’t been taken seriously, it makes sense to feel uncertain, betrayed, angry, and a range of other responses that can be hard to name. Often, what you’re seeking is to be understood without having to translate or defend your experience, and to imagine a way forward that isn’t defined by what’s limited you.
My approach is rooted in existential, or meaning-oriented therapy. I also use body-based tools to help you understand what your body has been carrying and why. Together, we look at how your nervous system learned to adapt in order to survive, and how those patterns might be updated with intention. My work is shaped by formal clinical training, ongoing supervision, and regular consultation, alongside lived experience in several of the areas I support. I value solid clinical grounding, and I also know that some experiences, especially complex or overlapping ones, are understood most fully when both clinical knowledge and lived context are present. I am trained in EMDR and use it when it fits your needs and goals. I also incorporate IFS-informed parts work, adapted for complex trauma and dissociation, prioritizing stabilization and attachment.
