About me

Welcome to Bridge to Wellness Counseling and my Virtual Practice. I provide Telehealth psychotherapy for adults looking to make a change, improve their lives, and to do so in a casual and supportive environment. I draw my expertise from years of experience as a community based social worker and now in full time private practice where I work with adults all over California. My role is to motivate, to guide, and to support my clients with reaching their goals. Together we will journey to your past and learn how that shapes the person you are today. With that understanding we find effective tools for coping and a path forward.

I started my career 15 years ago working with survivors of trauma and I finished my Master's Degree in 2014. I am passionate about working in mental health and my clients keep me motivated. The best part of being a therapist is being able to see my clients find their own success and happiness. The path is almost always challenging, so I see myself as a guide and the person to see each week where you know you will be valued and offered empathy and kindness. My sessions always include time to "dump" your stress, a focus on your long term goals, and always an intervention or technique to practice during the time in-between our sessions. Homework from therapy doesn't have to be a worksheet or a test, but rather a way to make sure that you are moving forward at a comfortable pace.

Clinically I draw from experience as a Trauma Informed Psychotherapist and I utilize Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as my primary method of evidenced based practice. My practice is limited to adults and the focus will be using strengths to identify positive and healthy ways of managing your trauma, your burnout, or any other symptoms of mental health challenges you face. During our consultation I will learn about you and the reason you are seeking therapy. This allows you time to ask me questions about my experience, about my practice, and to make sure that my expertise is a good fit for your needs.

Deciding to start therapy takes courage and strength. I wish you all the best on your path to good mental health.
