About me
I am an experienced child, adolescent, adult and couples therapist who is devoted to helping clients understand and cope with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and life's transitions.
Therapy is a place where you can share experiences and emotions, foster understanding, and explore meaningful ways of being. My intention is to create a safe space free of judgement as I empathically listen and accompany you on a journey developing awareness of feelings, thoughts, beliefs and behavioral patterns. My clients seek growth and transformation through understanding life's challenges. Together we will create a space for you to process and cope with a range of experiences: stress, communication, death, relationships, transitions, job loss, moving, loss of faith or trust, health issues and more. I appreciate, welcome and believe that everyone has a creative spirit and that creative insight and humor can be accessed among your tools toward healing and awareness.
To be seen, heard and witnessed is a powerful catalyst for change and transformation. We will identify your strengths for you to cultivate new ways of being, how you experience yourself, others and the world around you. My approach is integral and client centered. As I get to know you, I will identify ways of working that are best for you. My intention is to support you as you discover your potential and ability to make new choices that honor your authentic self. In therapy, I offer an open, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach while providing support. Clients say that I am warm and my directness is delivered with kindness.
I offer weekly psychotherapy sessions and welcome you to contact me for a free phone consultation to explore if we will be a good fit for your therapeutic journey.
I earned my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). As I entered midlife, I chose to change careers and pursue my lifelong interest and curiosity around psychology and the human experience. This career switch came after spending nearly 2 decades as a product designer for boutique and big brands designing jewelry, fashion accessories, and home accessories. My former experience as a designer and my current position as a psychotherapist offers me a unique insight into the complicated relational
dynamics within the business world. I was raised in the Midwest where I originally studied art and design, and today, I remain passionate about the arts and their healing potential as a creator and as an observer. As an adult, I lived in New York City for a number of years before relocating to San Francisco nearly 2 decades ago. In my free time, I enjoy exploring and experiencing nature with my partner and child.
