I provide couples therapy and individual therapy for those 18 years and older. I specialize in trauma, substance abuse, chronic health issues, and work with those that struggle with life issues, relationships, mood disorders, and sleep issues.

As a therapist, I believe in people and I believe in the power and ability to change. I know how hard it is to admit and/or ask for help, I want to support you and make sure you know that I am right there with you and will be there through the good, the bad, and the really ugly stuff. Conversely, I don't believe in telling clients what to do or not to do. A therapist should never ever do that. I want to help you make the best decision or choice by asking questions, identifying your goals, and provide you support and encouragement to move forward. I believe that my job as a therapist is to help you to make a decision as opposed to me telling you what you need to do.
I never put my expectations on someone and I do not ever have any preconceived notions about someone. I try to meet you where you are at, in that moment, and I support you. I will encourage you. I will validate you. I will definitely help and I will sometimes call you on your crap because sometimes we all need to be called on our crap. But I think the biggest thing is I want you to feel that after you leave my office you're in a better head space, that you felt that you were heard, and that someone understands you.
I believe that the smell (and taste) of coffee first thing in the morning is the only way to wake up, that my dogs are members of my family, that the beach and the sounds of the waves crashing is soothing, that sarcasm is a must, that elephants are the most amazing animals, that laughter can make even the darkest of days bright, that a smile is priceless, that Fall is the best season of the year, and that we all need more honesty and love. I also believe that I get to do the greatest job in the world and I am so grateful that I get to help others.
