“The most profound personal growth does not happen while reading a book or meditating on a mat. It happens in the throes of conflict—when you are angry, afraid, frustrated. It happens when you are doing the same old thing and you suddenly realize that you have a choice.” –Vironika Tugaleva

The past few years have made all of us think more about who and what is important to us and how we want to live our lives. My passion is in helping people identify and make the changes that lead to meaning and fulfillment in their lives. I believe that you are the expert on your life, and my role is to provide encouragement, support and guidance on your journey of growth and change. I enjoy helping adult individuals and couples navigate ADHD, life transitions, relationship issues and symptoms of stress, anxiety and/or depression. I especially enjoy helping young adults and couples navigate the challenges that being “grown up” bring in this life.

My primary approach when working with individuals is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as other behavioral approaches that incorporate mindfulness, acceptance and compassion. ACT is focused on creating a different relationship with the distressing stuff that will show up as part of being a living human being. My goal is to assist you in figuring out who and/or what is important to you and empowering you with skills to live a life of meaning and purpose.

My therapeutic approach with couples is primarily Emotionally Focused Therapy. I have extensive and ongoing training in this cutting-edge therapy. I believe humans are wired for connection, and that one of the most important connections is the one we form with our life partners. My goal is to help you remove whatever gets in the way of having a loving, strong connection with your partner.

When I am not working, I enjoy all things that involve good food, friends, family and self-care. I am the proud co-parent of a teenage English Cocker Spaniel and spend a good deal of time spoiling her. I look forward to learning more about you, what matters to you and traveling with you on your journey of hope and healing!
