Samantha Steinfeld, LGPC

I am a licensed counselor in Maryland. I am certified in Imago Relational Therapy, and I specialize in working with youth, adults, couples, and families in areas including exploration of gender and sexual orientation, relationship development, identity development and integration, and positive sexuality. I also work with people who have chronic illness and chronic pain.

Choosing to seek professional help and finding the right therapist can be difficult. Thank you for taking the first step! Using an affirmative, non-judgmental, and open approach, I create a safe space for my clients to heal and grow. Through empathy and support, I empower my clients to live their most authentic lives and to understand themselves more fully. Together, my clients and I develop our treatment goals, therapeutic framework, and unique relationship that inform our work together. I have experience working with a variety of ages, ethnicities, genders, orientations, and presenting issues. All are welcome.

My therapeutic style is informed by my personal and professional experiences as a therapist, teacher, sex educator, and advocate. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space for my clients to process their own experiences and empower them to live more authentic lives that are in keeping with their personal beliefs and values.
