About me
I am an experienced DBT therapist who specializes in treating adolescents, adults and seniors with anxiety, depression and life changes. I am certified in CBT-E for eating disorders.
I believes that evidence-based techniques are the most effective and this is whyI utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also believes that the client has the most insight and the most knowledge of him or herself so I like to incorporate person-centered, and solution-focused approaches. It is proven that your thoughts have power over your perceptions and behaviors, and perhaps if one increases mindfulness and self-awareness, it is possible to tune in to the source of the discord. From there, developing effective coping skills and strategies will help steer one back to the life path desired.
Confucius says that the longest journey starts with a single step. This has to come from everyone individually and once a client feels safe and develops a relationship with a therapist, they can begin to address their needs. I am looking forward to hearing from you and helping you find a solution to your situation.
