I offer specialist therapy using affirming, evidence-based (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)) practices to address concerns related to OCD, anxiety, perfectionism, and thought disorders such as psychosis.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Over the years I have learned many lessons, but none as important as meeting people where they are. I believe it is important for people to not only be heard, but to use their voice when developing our plan for growth and change. By providing a safe, affirming and respectful space, I believe people can accomplish their goals for emotional recovery, changing difficult behaviors, and living a life they value.
People who choose to work with me often struggle with various anxieties, fears and incredibly high standards. These issues can often manifest as OCD, anxiety, depressiveness and perfectionism. Many times, these difficulties spread into other areas of life and can impact school, work, family and even just engaging in activities that were once enjoyable. I help people and support systems navigate and learn strategies to manage these issues in order to better function and to be happier overall.
My style of therapy is directly related to my own personal expectations for all care: If someone is coming in for help, it is my responsibility to be compassionate, affirming and respectful to that person. Because of this, I believe in brief evidence-based therapies. I want people to feel empowered and confident to make changes in their lives that not only help now, but can be used well after therapy has concluded. People come to therapy for many reasons, and I aim to focus on those specific reasons so people can get back to being active participants in their own lives. My priority is to get my clients out of therapy, with skills to cope and succeed without long-term professional support.
I offer a free 20 minute consultation for anyone debating whether therapy is for them. I encourage anyone with questions to reach out to me and I would be more than happy to explore how we may be able to make progress with issues in your life.
