I specialize in helping students overcome challenges with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and life transitions. I also run D&D-style group therapy sessions for high school students.
Navigating daily life in our current world can be stressful, especially when adding school into the mix. Everyone has insane expectations for you, most of all yourself; everything has to be perfect. Figuring out who you are, let alone fitting in, feels like a struggle. You want to feel heard, understood, confident, and connected, but may not know how to get there. I want to meet you where you’re at and help you rediscover the strength and beauty you hold inside.
My approach is based on helping you discover your intrinsic value and purpose to overcome feelings of anxiety and depression. To do this, I care deeply about establishing a strong, authentic relationship that allows you the space and safety to explore how events in your past have informed who you are now. Understanding painful patterns and their origins can help you unlock true peace and potential.
My background in mental health includes having worked in the psychiatric and emergency department units of a local hospital, in addition to providing in-home therapy for children, teens, and families through a local agency. My practice has grown to specialize in counseling men, particularly teenagers and young adults in high school and college. Vulnerability has often been socialized as a weakness, and I’m skilled at holding the space for you to explore the strength that it actually is; when we learn what our needs are and how we can express them, our full potential is limitless.
As for me, I love to spend my free time playing video games (PC only!), visiting breweries with my wife and two dogs, and playing D&D with friends as often as we can.
