About me

We all long for rich, rewarding lives, satisfying work, caring relationships and good feelings about ourselves. I can help you develop practical and creative relational skills to live in joyful authentic happiness with open-hearted courage and confidence. My therapeutic approach is based on the resilience the human spirit, the transformative power of positivity, and the healing power of human connection.

I completed my graduate training in Social Work with a specialization in mental health treatment at The Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. As a long-time affiliate of the Jean Baker Miller Training Institute and the International Center for for Growth in Connection, I participated in an advanced practitioner program and was a contributing author to How Connections Heal: Stories from Relational-Cultural Theory. Helping people thrive is the foundation of my work. I have successfully guided hundreds of people through a variety of life transition issues and relational challenges. I understand human develop, the effects of loss, and the process of change. I base my therapeutic approach on several well-proven, results-oriented, research-based theories including Relational-Cultural Theory, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Positive Psychology.
