About me
My name is Robert Carpenter, I am the owner/ creator of The Next Steps Counseling. We all get stuck or have to deal with unexpected hardship or loss. I have a vision for people because I was there. I picture being in a dark place, being alone and sometimes we can get out of it. Other times we need help and that's when we think, "The next step forward is counseling". Life is hard but we don't need to just endure and survive when we can learn and grow to thrive in the future. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor Intern (CPC-I). I work great with people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, anger, and life challenges.
I grew up most of my life in Las Vegas and have come from a family that experienced many struggles. I always wanted to help people and had to change careers from the corporate world to counseling to fulfill that desire. I understand life can bring challenges but I feel with the right help people can have better lives and live a happier and more fulfilled life. I want to make it as comfortable and helpful for you as a client so that we can take the next steps together.
I have experienced hardships and worked my way up in the corporate world for a time. I felt I missed my calling to really help people individually. For that reason, I went back to school and enrolled in a Masters program to be a counselor. I have since graduated and helped many people since then fulfilling my passion and helping others find their way back on the road they want to be on. I feel my life experiences have led me to a perspective that can be unique or unbiased. Please reach out to make an appointment, don't delay the help and future stability for your mental health journey!
