About me
I am a psychologist with 9 years of experience, who specializes in DBT, Motivational Interviewing, with a Systems Theory lens. I want to help people be the best version of themselves.
We all have a story. It is a story we have been telling our whole lives. We add to this story with each new encounter and context. Sometimes our stories get warped by any number of life factors, and we can lose our sense of self. I see therapy as an opportunity to unravel and examine the story of you, to get to the “why” of you.
I was an alumnus of the University of Cincinnati for both undergrad and graduate school. I attained my Ph.D. in Psychology in 2015. Currently, I work for Miami University's Student Counseling Center, and in my private practice at Psychworks Clinic. I have also contracted with Central Clinic's Child and Family Treatment Center since 2014.
I help you examine the behaviors, attitudes, & emotions that have brought you to therapy, and identify areas of positive change in your life. This process isn’t easy and can uncover questions that are hard to answer. We are so hard on ourselves. I want to help you to learn to forgive yourself and change your narrative to be the person you want to be.
