About me
As a Licensed Psychotherapist, Registered Dance Movement Therapist, Certified Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist, our work together can be truly holistic. I work with adults seeking health and healing for mind, body and spirit!
Many of my clients came to therapy to explore, express & discover themselves, perhaps for the first time or perhaps as part of a lifelong process. And whether a transition or relationship, feeling overwhelmed, sad, stuck or lonely, being new to NY or thinking about leaving NY, first sent them to me, what they all have in common is a desire to feel more authentic, more connected & at ease, and to live life with more joy, passion & purpose.
My approach is holistic, collaborative, trauma-informed and mindfulness-based. In addition to being a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW), I am also a dance-movement therapist (BC-DMT) and yoga therapist (C-IAYT), so our work together may include meditation, breathwork, body-based explorations or yogic technologies in addition to traditional talk psychotherapy. My clinical experience spans over 25 years and I have worked with the full-range of issues that adults may face, including depression, anxiety, trauma, loss, identity and relationship issues, and career direction. Whatever your goals and aspirations, I will bring my presence, compassion, and wisdom to help you reach them. And while most of the time in sessions we may "just talk," we have a larger context of perspective and techniques to help you learn how to better navigate life's challenges, heal better, feel better and live better.
I hold as my life's dedication a desire to inspire health, consciousness, and creative living. My core values of collaboration, connection and compassion guide me. and my primary goal is to form genuine connections with each client and for them to feel seen, heard, accepted, and respected. Non-judgemental and down-to-earth, all are welcome with humility and sensitivity. I have been honored to witness great transformation, growth and healing in my clients over the years and I look forward to being a part of your journey.
I’ve also founded a small group practice to offer a spectrum of creative and healing arts psychotherapies to address the growing need for quality and affordable psychotherapy. I’ve brought together a group of passionate clinicians who I trust to give their utmost care and expertise to each of their clients. As Clinical Director, I am hands-on (behind the scenes) and oversee every client’s progress. Please contact me to learn more!
