Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
I am an experienced cognitive-behavioral therapist focused on providing personalized care to help you achieve your goals and live a more fulfilling life. My approach integrates traditional CBT with mindfulness and acceptance techniques, honoring both evidence-based strategies and personal experience. My areas of expertise include obsessive-compulsive disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and trauma-related disorders.
After completing my undergraduate degree at Princeton University, I spent over a decade working in the private and non-profit sectors, first working at Google and later developing online strategy for major non-profit organizations. Following a 3-month trip to South Africa spent working with HIV positive youth, my professional interests shifted towards mental health, and I pursued my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Catholic University of America in Washington DC. Following graduation, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Capital Institute for Cognitive Therapy, where I have also worked as a staff psychologist. Earlier training experiences include the Behavior Therapy Center of Greater Washington, the Columbia University New York State Psychiatric Institute, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. In addition to extensive clinical training for a broad range of disorders, I have completed the Trichotillomania Learning Center’s Professional Training Institute in CBT for body-focused repetitive behaviors.
