The way you have coped in the past has gotten you to where you are now, and- while an important survival mechanism- it might not be helping in the way you need now.

I am a state of Hawaii Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has worked with survivors of domestic violence, LGBT+ and alternative relationships, survivors of both acute and chronic trauma, as well as many individuals struggling with big transitions with anxiety and depression that can go along with the unknown (even if is hopeful... or not). My background – both professionally with her undergraduate degree in cultural anthropology, and personally with the LGBTQ+ and sex positive community- gives me a compassionate lens to help people who often feel stigmatized. I love working with both teens and adults in modalities that include Brainspotting (BSP) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you develop a loving relationship with yourself and, as a byproduct, others around you. Your personal healing will quite literally impact the world as you share the peace you have found within around you.
