About me
I work with individuals and couples struggling from anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma and relationship issues. I also have specialties related to sexual abuse & sexual concerns. During our initial sessions, we will identify your thought processes, emotional needs, behavioral patterns, attachment style(s) & explore the mind/body connection. We will collaborate to create a plan that helps you heal & grow.
Here’s the truth about life: it is uncomfortable. It is uncomfortable and tough and chaotic and we sometimes lose ourselves in it. But, life is also growth, healing, discovery and relationships. Life is full of emotions that can be overwhelming and confusing, but once understood, can be transformative. If you want a therapist who will help guide you towards your emotional, mental and physical goals, while also meeting you where you’re at without judgment, then I am likely a good fit for you.
I utilize a solutions-focused, strengths-based approach stemming from CBT, EMDR, Attachment Theory, IFS and Narrative/Art Therapy techniques. I am known for my warm, collaborative, goal-oriented and honest approach with individuals and couples. I have extensive training in the treatment of youth sexual reactivity, anxiety, life transitions and PTSD. I have been working for two years in private practice, having spent four years in a residential setting for adolescents practicing individual/family therapy as well as an additional four years working in sexual/domestic violence fields. I have provided case management, research and clinical services for refugee and migration issues as well. I believe we are all worthy of a beautiful life - a life of joyful moments and growth that balance, or sometimes outweigh, the struggles and conflicts.
If I sound like the kind of clinician you want, or need, to help empower you to learn, grow and process whatever is on your mind then please reach out. I am self-pay at this time, however, am happy to provide a superbill for clients who wish to submit out-of-network reimbursement through their insurance. Feel free to ask me more about this during our intake call - I aim to provide as much helpful information as possible! We will begin by identifying therapy concerns and goals. I’m currently only accepting telehealth clients.
Life is uncomfortable. Life is emotions. Life is asking for help. I'd love to hear from you.
