About me
It is my desire to help hurting people through the ministry of Jesus Christ. As more and more people seek help with tough life issues, I want to be the Christian counseling resource you turn to for hope, healing, and peace.
My goal is to provide a supportive, confidential setting in which short-term individual, couples, family, and group counseling services are available. I understand “counseling” in its broadest sense to be one person helping another person grow toward wholeness in relationship to God, others and self.
As a general rule, Christian and secular counselors share the same desire to help people overcome their problems, find meaning and joy in life.
The word "counseling" can have multiple meanings, including offering advice and encouragement, sharing wisdom and skills, setting goals, resolving conflict, etc. Counselors generally usually probe the past (whether the problem happened a week ago or during childhood) in an attempt to repair the present. Sometimes I will explore possible effects of physical and chemical imbalances that can cause physiological problems. And a major part of counseling is resolving and restoring conflicts between people.
In counseling you, I promise to use the therapeutic application of empathetic listening, discerning insight and practical strategies as well as the careful application of the Word of God to the situations presented to me. Together we will seek truth within the context of faith and then learn to apply such truth to daily living.
Counseling is a very personal journey and the best indicator of success as you work through life’s “stuff” is a strong sense of connection with me; a genuine, compassionate individual. I desire to see the children, teens and adults I counsel to live life to its fullest potential. Life is meant to be enjoyed, and counseling is a wonderful resource for getting pointed in a positive direction!
