About me
Senior-level clinical psychologist with decades of experience working with adults, and children in both private and public sector settings. Professional specialty preparation in clinical neuropsychological assessment with clients of all ages. Client -centered, problem-solving therapeutic approach. Consultation with other providers when appropriate and approved by the client.
Initial diagnostics are important, because it's very difficult to be as helpful as possible without knowing what the diagnoses may well be, as well as the issues, background and circumstances with which clients arrive here. Extensive interviewing, background records, and testing serve to round out the picture. Sometimes, especially when working with children, information from caregivers and teachers often prove to be very valuable in understanding how best to helpful. Screening assessments, and comprehensive evaluations provide answers to many clinical questions resulting in a level of care which is matched to the needs of the client. Next, the results are discussed fully with the client The client is always in a position to decide just how he or she wishes to proceed .
