Rachel Filson, Registered Clinical Social Work Intern
Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern who is dedicated to helping clients break free from old patterns and process root issues.
I want to thank you for taking the time to read this. Making the choice of who you feel most comfortable sitting down and discussing your goals and vulnerabilities with is an important and sometimes overwhelming decision. My goal in the therapy room is to always help you feel as supported and heard as possible. Together, we will work collaboratively to find a tailored approach to meet your individual needs.
I use a trauma and neuroscience-informed approach for treatment. While many clients benefit from traditional talk therapy to work through life’s challenges, others may benefit more from a “bottom up” approach that focuses on calming their body’s fight or flight response before engaging in traditional talk therapy.
For these clients, I may pair mindfulness techniques and psychoeducation along with talk therapy to address the brain’s heightened state. The exact therapy modality I use will depend on your unique needs and preferences, as this is your session and you are the expert in your own journey.
