About me
Pond of Peace Counseling and Wellness provides telehealth based therapy, helping adult clients adjust to new life circumstances, process trauma, or just learn to live their best lives. Flexible appointment schedules/times available for those with busy lives. I am currently offering same or next week appointments!
Hi, I’m Rachel, the owner and therapist of Pond of Peace Counseling and Wellness. I began my practice in order to provide accessible mental health services through teletherapy in the state of New Jersey. I find that telehealth provides unique perspectives into the lives and surroundings of my clients. It also reduces barriers in accessing services, the stigma associated with seeking therapy, and increases opportunity and options for those living in rural and seasonal areas where services can be limited. I also focus on providing flexible hours in order to better access to services.
I serve clients with a wide array of presenting problems and mental health diagnoses. Additionally, I have a particular passion for helping those going through times of change and transition throughout the lifespan: entering adulthood, graduating college, entering parenthood, retiring and more. I specialize in developmental traumas and complex PTSD resulting from chaotic, tumultuous, and/or inconsistent childhoods. I believe in the use of mindfulness and mind-body approaches to wellness and healing in addition to talk therapy. I have a background in CBT, DBT, problem-solving therapies, yoga, and trauma-informed therapies. Ultimately, I believe in helping each person live their best life, as they define it, through the development and honing of their existing strength and adaptability.
Stress is a silent killer, whether still clinging to us from our past or immediate in our present. We all must find ways to confront and cope with our stressors. With humor and human connection, I aim to be part of your path. I invite you to reach out today, to begin your journey to your best life, to find and develop a pond of peace in your own life.
