About me
I am a Filipino-American. I hold a BS and MS in psychology and I am a licensed professional counselor - intern in the state of Nevada. I have experience in helping individuals cope with anxiety, depression, unexpected life situations, improving self-esteem and more.
As a bilingual psychotherapist who speaks Tagalog and English, I believe therapy should be as routine as regular check-ups with your primary care physician. Everyone faces mental health challenges at some point in their lives, and seeking the guidance of a therapist during these times should be the norm; there is no shame in asking for help. Together, we will explore what change looks like for you, and I will support and guide you through your journey of healing.
I have a particular interest in decolonizing therapy and addressing issues related to acculturation. My practice focuses on treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and improving self-confidence. You are the expert of your own life, and I partner with you to create a safe and warm environment that fosters trust, inclusivity, and the exploration needed to achieve your goals.
I take pride in my cultural awareness and inclusivity. Using a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, I incorporate various counseling theories in my practice, including cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, humanistic, mindfulness, systematic therapies, brainspotting/gaze spotting, and others.
