For eight years, I have worked with individuals, families, and couples with complex trauma co-occurring disorders, including anxiety, depression, abuse, substance use disorders, body shame (including disordered relationship with food), survivors of abuse, issues with emotional dysregulation & disconnection, self-harm behaviors, destructive communication issues, and lack of healthy boundaries. Additionally, I share my personal recovery experience of over three decades with substances and personal body empowerment work which informs her ability to create strong therapeutic bonds and help clients work towards action and healing.

I feel the therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of successful therapy. I want to create an environment where you feel seen, heard, and validated in ways you may have not experienced before. I do this through warmth, compassion, a fantastic sense of humor, and a genuineness in care and concern for you. I am invested in your wellness, and I will build a treatment plan around your goals and needs. Therapy is the way we implement self care and learn how to heal, how to grow, and for some, how to trust again. Joining you in this experience in my innate expertise.

I believe you are the driver along this therapeutic road, and I act like a GPS on this journey. I will provide the guidance and suggestion, and you make whatever turn you want as you are the expert in your life. I will help recalculate any routes necessary along the way.

I love helping all who come to my practice and my passion heart work lives in my desire to help those who have experienced trauma, oppression, and marginalization (such as; Body size marginalization, LGBTQ+, addicts, abuse victims) find their voice and power through internal healing and learned advocacy. I believe these to be necessary skills to help you in your goals of finding a more peaceful place to live within your vibrant and beautiful skin.

I know therapy is working for my clients when they notice changes in their awareness, insight, and understanding.
My client's know therapy is working when they apply the new awareness, insight, and understanding to their behaviors, actions, and communications.
It is through this work done in therapy these changes take place.
