Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I know it can be hard to reach out for help. You may have been hoping things would get better with time and trying to find answers on your own. You don't have to do this alone. I am here to support you on your journey to healing. Whether you are dealing with relationships issues, job stress, health concerns, anxiety, depression or trauma...you don't have to tackle it alone.
I have over 30 years of experience working with clients of all ages (4-100) as well as couples and families. I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting and use evidence based techniques that lead to healing and growth. I have experience working with individuals and families impacted by adoption, attachment, loss and grief. Therapy is not "one size fits all" so my experience with a variety of models and practices will allow us to find the best way for you to address your struggles. I focus on the positive and what is going well to empower you to achieve success in the areas where you want to see change.
When we meet you can expect to leave feeling heard, understood and more hopeful that change is possible. Our sessions will be a safe place for you to express your thoughts and feelings and to consider your options. You are in control and while you may not know how to make the changes you need, you will be the one who knows when things are better. My job is to offer support, encouragement, ideas, questions and opportunity for self discovery so you have the freedom to heal and change in the way that works best for you.
I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional who utilizes evidenced based therapy methods and interventions based on your needs, preferences and goals. These include EMDR, Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavorial, Solution Focused, Attachment, Dialectical Behavioral and Attachment Therapies along with Modivational Interviewing and Mindfulness Techniques. I focus on strength based methods and believe in helping my clients find their inner strength and wisdom.
I am able to meet you where you are today, envision with you where you would like to get and help you along that path. My diverse experience and training will allow us to find the right approach for you and adjust as needed. I can offer you options that allow you to choose the right style for you that will help lead to growth, healing and greater enjoyment of your life and relationships. I am licensed to work with individuals in Florida, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Kansas.
