About me
Hi! I'm Olivia (she/her), a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate supervised by Ginny Manley, LPC-S. I'm currently seeing clients virtually in TX. I have a passion for working with adolescents and adults to help cope with life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem and identity.
Are you going through a difficult transition in life? Is your teen exhibiting signs of depression or anxiety? Or are you a young adult navigating the world on your own?
Hi, I'm Olivia (she/her)! I have a passion for working with individuals ages 12 and up who come to therapy to work on life stressors, coping strategies, boundary setting, and self-esteem and identity in a safe and supportive environment. I love to welcome clients of all identities into this space to talk about some of the harder things in life. Creating a safe, non-judgmental environment is my top priority, and I hope you will trust me with your story and experience.
During our time together, we may explore past and current behavior patterns, relationships, thought patterns, and/or your goals for the future. We may use activities like art or video games in a creative way to see yourself in a more positive light, gain confidence and a sense of self, and tackle your negative thought patterns and behaviors. I'm trained to be able to practice Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidenced based modality to process trauma or negative experiences from our past. This can help us turn down the volume on traumatic events that may stick with us and hindering our progress. I also have a passion for working with Neurodivergent clients and helping them work with their brain rather than against it. Together we can create some accommodations to your lifestyle and help you work to become your best possible self!
My goal as a therapist is to create a welcoming environment for all to come into, regardless of race, gender identity, romantic/sexual orientation, religion, abilities, and size. I take cultural considerations into account and continuously challenge myself to learn more from my client's and their experiences.
I understand that therapy may seem very intimidating at first, so my goal as a therapist is to make it an enjoyable experience as much as we can together. Not only will we tackle your goals together, but we can have fun along the way!
A little bit about me, I have a quirky dog named Kirby and my boyfriend, Mikey, who I love to spend time with. Outside the office, you may find me exploring the Austin area, checking out restaurants, or engaging in my more "geeky" hobbies. I'm an avid gamer, reader, anime lover, and newly found K-Pop stan haha~!
I'm honored to be considered as your therapist for your mental health journey. Let's get started! :)
