Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
Tweenies (12 year olds), teens, teenagers (13-17) and young adults (18-20 years old) are my favorite people!
It's soooo hard being a teenager with managing real life eyeball to eyeball relationships AND trying to survive the other life in what I call the matrix. (Research shows a direct correlation of greater depression and anxiety the more one is out in the alternate universe of social media, google it). Similarly, It's hard being a parent of a teenager. I was in the trenches too, being scared, not trusting to let go. Look, I remember 15-18; I raised two successful teens now in college, on a bumpy road sometimes. Nonetheless, I appreciate how hard it is to walk in those shoes between childhood and adulthood; the transition is awesome, scary and difficult at times. I can help problem solve and/or go deep into the trauma that both the parents and young person may be affected by. P.S. We all have trauma, Big T or Little T or both. Luckily, I am an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained therapist, focused on my clients processing their trauma. Bottomline, I am an optimist, hopeful, enjoy encouraging and witnessing the potential growth of those who choose to change. Why would they? Because what is current, is not working. We will work collaboratively on the your goals. Call me right now; Let's do this. I am also trained in: DV (Domestic Violence), NP (Nurturing Parent Curriculum), ISTDP (Intensive Short Term Psychodynamic) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). I am a CA AMFT.
