About me
I have worked with those who are struggling with where they are currently in life and where life is headed based on life transitions. I also have experience working with grief, whether it’s the loss of a loved one and/or friends, divorce, relationship issues, social issues, as well as general mental health issues, including low self-esteem, intellectual disabilities, eating disorders, anger and anxiety. I work with children 13+, young adults, adults, couples & LGBTQ . I help with managing and working past intrusive thoughts, self-destructive behaviors, and helping you learn/develop healthy coping skills and techniques to work through these situations outside of therapy. I implement a relaxed, laid-back approach, which provides support, compassion, and empathy within my overall desire to help clients work through the barriers in life, or within themselves to accomplish their overall goals. I offer in person services in Bristol and Brookfield as well as Telehealth.
I have experience working with teenagers, young adults, adults, couples & families struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, mood disorders (Bi-Polar, BPD), grief, trauma/PTSD and life transitions along with other areas. I am experienced working with first responders, military, front line workers, as well as the LGBTQ+ community. As a military spouse I have dedicated part of my counseling career to Crisis & Trauma counseling, working with PTSD/Trauma clients within all populations.
I utilizes person-centered therapy approach with a collaboration of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) & Self Care/Mindfulness techniques within my treatment. I offer in person sessions and telehealth.
I implement a relaxed, laid-back approach, which provides support, compassion, and empathy within my overall desire to help clients work through the barriers in life or within themselves to accomplish their overall goals. Therapy should be a place to feel comfortable, be yourself, while feeling safe, and look forward to attending and grow from.
