About me
I have over 25 years of experience teaching troubled children skills for learning to cope with life's challenges, and helping them learn strategies to be successful in the classroom. I have worked with adults and children to teach strategies for dealing with anxiety, depression, grief and trauma.
When my husband and I woke up the morning after Eastern Airlines went bankrupt, with no job and no plan for how we were going to support ourselves and our one year old son, we trusted God for guidance. Now 20+ years later, he is still in the airline industry, and I have gone into the counseling field. I was hired at the Public Defender's office, juvenile division, which peaked my interest in helping children. I worked a few years in a psychiatric rehab facility with adults who had been baker acted, then went in to my chosen field of working with children. After 25 years of working with children, I started working with adults who were having trouble coping with anxiety, grief and trauma.
