About me
I am experienced in couple and individual therapy. I offer a calm, safe, and non-judgmental place where you can feel comfortable expressing yourself and learn to be gentle with yourself as you work through conflict.
I believe in helping you first lower your level of stress, anxiety, or depression to understand the presenting issues within yourself and/or the relationship. My goal is to help you explore your emotions and create an awareness of what is underneath the conflict. In couple counseling, I use relationship theories to help the partners learn how to listen to each other and respond with empathy and understanding. If you are experiencing anxiety and rather than going easy on yourself, the voice in your head is telling you to “toughen up” or “get over it?” Does it feel as if you and your partner are speaking different languages when you talk to each other and with each attempt, the frustration increases? Therapy can give you the tools to understand yourself and your partner in exciting new ways. In individual sessions, you can learn your strengths and discover your true sense of identity and purpose. In couple sessions, you can learn to connect with your partner in a deeper, more meaningful way. I work with individuals, and couples through video sessions.
