About me
I have over 40 years of experience as a psychotherapist. In the last 35 years I have specialized in treating men with pornography and sex addiction. My clinic Cornerstone has an outpatient treatment program for pornography and sex addiction that is the largest and oldest program in the upper Midwest with six ongoing treatment groups each week and serving approximately 70 to 80 men at any one time.
I was a drug and alcohol counselor in the 70s and early 80s. I then started treating men who were abusing their wives and children. I did that from 1982 to 1989. I then worked with Pat Carnes at Golden Valley Health Center’s Internationally renowned Sex Addiction Treatment Program until 1992 and started my own practice and worked part time with sex offenders at a 2 different Sex Offender treatment programs and at the state prison. I’ve also treated trauma and other common mental health issues. I’ve been married for 37 years and have wonderful 24 year old daughter. I believe in being affirming and honest with my clients in what I see and hear and provide as many alternative ways to approach themselves and their lives in ways that work and create a sense of integrity within.
