About me

I am a psychotherapist with a Masters Degree in Art Therapy and Counseling, with experience in community mental health as well as in a private practice setting. I love the work that I do with clients, helping them to overcome the obstacles and challenges that life presents, as well as exploring transitions, meaning, and value.

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Supervisor (LPCC-S) and I have been practicing mental health counseling for over 10 years. I started my career in community mental health, working with people living with severe and persistent mental illness, dual diagnoses, trauma, and homelessness, and then I came to LifeStance in 2018.
My preferred style of working with clients is person-centered, collaborative, and holistic. My method is to create a partnership and develop a personalized form of treatment, because I believe that we are a team in this process and that we are both experts. Together, we create the most effective form of treatment that will work best for the client, changing the treatment over time as it needs to be changed. I also come from a perspective of curiosity– I love to learn about clients, their experiences, and ways that these experiences have impacted and influenced them over time.
I have a special interest in working with individual clients who have experienced trauma, those living with personality disorders, thought/psychotic disorders, anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, and chronic health conditions, among others. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Skills-based treatment for ADHD, Building Resilience, and Mindfulness. I attended The Cleveland Institute of Art for my BA in Fine Art, followed by Ursuline College for my MA in Art Therapy and Counseling. I love to integrate alternative methods of treatment and healing, such as art therapy, to help work through issues that might be more easily expressed creatively rather than through language.
Outside of my work, I enjoy everything that has to do with nature and the outdoors, fishing, yoga, meditation, creating art, spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to music, dancing, all things that make me laugh, and learning how to make tasty whole foods-based meals.
