Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
This therapist holds one or more specialty certifications, you can review their certification within the professional certifications section on their profile.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
My name is Melissa and I am a bilingual Latinx licensed clinical mental health counselor associate and licensed clinical addictions specialist associate in the state of North Carolina. I graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s in Psychology and a master’s in Clinical Counseling.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals in both inpatient and outpatient settings who suffer from a variety of disorders. I have experience helping people with mental health and substance use disorders, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief.
Every person and situation is unique, which is why I utilize various techniques to meet the needs of the client including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and a Person-Centered approach. Counseling is rewarding and at times challenging, therefore, I aim to provide a safe, judgment-free environment to facilitate your personal growth. I strive to provide you with a welcoming safe space to help you process, grow, and transform into your best self.
Ultimately, I believe you are the expert in your life, but together you can work towards finding hope, strength, and personal growth.
