Trauma and Sleep Specialist
Hi! I'm Melissa a licensed professional counselor from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that is currently based in Asia. After 12 year in the mental health field in Pittsburgh and starting my private practice in 2013, I moved to the country of Bhutan. I took my private practice online in 2017 continuing to see American clients while teaching at a university in Bhutan. My work with Asian clients often focuses on somatic and dissociation symptoms and disorders which really built on my experiences in Pittsburgh working with clients with sleep disorders and gastrointestinal disorders. These experiences lead me to extensive trauma training, including EMDR. So what does this all mean for you as a client? At the core, I love helping people connect their mind and body. My goal is to help each client find the freedom that comes with pursuing wellness in every area of life- physical, spiritual, emotional and relational.
