About me
I have experience working in a variety of clinical and psychiatric settings providing services to adults, older adults, veterans, LGBTQIA+ community and adolescents. I have worked in inpatient, outpatient and residential settings. I have also worked with individuals from a variety of diverse backgrounds and with marginalized populations including individuals who have been incarcerated, people experiencing homelessness and patients in skilled nursing facilities.
I tailor my approach to the individual based on personality factors and based on the source of what is causing distress and discomfort. I work in a collaborative fashion to find what works best for the patient and use a strength based approach to assist with making changes. I work with methods aimed at identifying distressing thoughts, improving mood and interpersonal relationships as well as working towards living a value directed life and improving abilities and skills to manage stressors and intense emotions.
