Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I am an experienced therapist primarily seeing clients from adolescents through adulthood specializing in anxiety, depression and life stressors.
Life is tough! I recognize and understand that sometimes life knocks us down or throws us a curveball. Every now and then it can make it hard to get out of bed, ignoring our everyday responsibilities. Sometimes it can make us very anxious, worrying all the time if the decisions we're making are the right ones. Making difficult transitions in life (i.e. what college to go to, what job to accept and am I in the right relationship) can be stressful. Therapy is a great opportunity to get a new perspective, to increase self-esteem and to feel more confident in the decisions we are making and reframing those automatic negative thoughts.
I'm trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (how our thoughts, feelings, behaviors affect each other), Systems Therapy (you have multiple roles in life) and Motivational Interviewing (what motivates you). I prefer to use a mixture of approaches depending on what you're going through at the time, knowing that the treatment goals may change throughout our time.
I know that asking for help is a difficult process. It can be scary to trust another adult with our secrets, our past traumas and our current situation. I know that you are not taking this decision lightly. Please know that I will be there for you, through every step of the way. I will help guide you and provide a safe space for you to express yourself.
