I am an experienced Marriage and Family Therapist focused on helping individuals reduce anxiety, manage grief and loss, and implement positive parenting.

I serve Minnesota via telehealth. My approach is collaborative; you are the expert of your life, and I'm the expert in the mental health domain when we are working together. From this perspective, we work together to identify areas of focus and what you hope to experience as a result of working as a team to better your mental health, relationships, and current life.

My work is called Backdoor Counseling because I realize that a backdoor approach is necessary at times. Sometimes heading straight into the problem is too much. As a sensitive, empathetic individual, I work to build trust in the therapeutic relationship so that we can do the work together. Through this method I have seen and supported many clients in taking big steps in their life as they grow stronger than they ever imagined possible.

Our work will lead to insights that help you enact change and apply agency, helping you show up to your life more fully and authentically.

You will learn practical tools that you can implement, and reflect on patterns of behavior to help you unlock the change you desire.

I'm Adlerian trained, and utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused, Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and other modalities to need the needs of my clients. I also have training in Art Therapy; I am not a Registered Art Therapist.
