I am an experienced therapist dedicated to helping adults learn new coping strategies and tools to deal with anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-confidence issues, family conflict, substance use, and/or trauma.

Anxiety and depression gives us bad stories that we tell ourselves over and over again; in therapy, we will work together to rewrite those stories, weaving a new narrative with better truths that encourage your growth. I want to help you find the connections in your story to answer the questions about yourself that have been making it difficult to move forward on your own path. Working to untangle our pasts and how they inform our present can be intimidating but it allows us to navigate a better course for our future. Sometimes our view of ourselves is like a bad selfie; we only see the bad lighting, the inopportune angles, maybe a pimple that we think is massively distracting from our best features. But good counseling is like a ring light, allowing a soft glow that heightens your strengths and inspires confidence.

I have been called an eclectic therapist because I prefer to match my energy and therapeutic modalities to the individual in front of me. Some people will try to tell you that there are no safe spaces in life; I would argue that the ideal therapist’s office is a safe space that the counselor creates and holds for each client in order to foster an honest dialogue with the self and promote healing. I am truly honored to bear witness to your personal truths and appreciate your trust during a process that can leave us feeling very vulnerable. Whether you are grappling with the grief of a recent life change, long-standing struggles with anxiety or depression, or seeking escape from the cycle of generational family trauma and the counterproductive behaviors that cycle often perpetuates, I would like to help you find better tools and words to write your story.
