About me
I am an experienced counselor who is dedicated to help children, adolescents and adults cope with anxiety, depression and anger
I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Wyoming. I am Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Wyoming. I have been working as a counselor in the community setting for 10 years.
I have experience working with individuals and families of all ages, who are experiencing mental health or substance use issues. I enjoy working with children, adolescents and adults. I am fluent in English and in Spanish. I am native Spanish speaking. I’m passionate about this profession working from a multicultural perspective using different modalities. I have been trained in different therapeutic modalities such: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focus (SFT), Play therapy, and Sand therapy and child centered therapy. I believe everyone has a story and deserves to be heard. I believe a person needs to feel empowered to overcome obstacles and have hope for the future and better life. I’m willing to walk beside the person and listen to their experiences, providing a safe environment to process their life events, emotions, and gain greater insight into their personal experiences. I want people to feel supported and identify and achieve their goals.
