About me

My name is Mary Tinucci and I wear several hats in my Private Practice. I am a Clinical Social Worker, Clinical Social Work Supervisor, Coach, and Social Work Educator.

I provide Social Work Career Coaching, Clinical Supervision, and Training. I support social workers and their professional development and personal well-being. At Think in Possibilities, you will find support and many social work tools foundational to your professional development & personal well-being.

There is no time like the present to take action, focus and get deliberate about your professional growth, career development, self-care, and personal well-being.

For as long as I can remember, I have seen and approached the world in terms of all that is possible. My own career success and my own healing journey inform my approach to supporting others. I love supervising, teaching, mentoring, and supporting new social workers to do the work of professional development and self-care in the context of a demanding profession. I also love supporting women and LGBTQ+ people, especially, to do the work of personal growth. I was a school social worker in St. Paul Public Schools for 24 years and have been teaching in social work education at the BSW and MSW-levels for 19 years.

I believe that everyone has an important story to tell and that creativity, in all forms, is key to effective outcomes in social work practice, education, human services, and leadership. In every context in which I work, I believe that creativity makes all the difference. In my work, I integrate creative, experiential, and therapeutic approaches. These include poetry, journaling, creativity, music, and practices of mindfulness, self-compassion, kindness, and gratitude – all powerful and transformational tools for professional development, personal growth, and well-being.

My approach to social work and to clinical supervision is to walk alongside you as you tell your story, make sense of your life experiences, heal, and grow. The work we do together is heavily informed by positive psychology, poetry/bibliotherapy, and practices for self-care and well-being. If you are committed to your professional development, self-care, and personal growth, then you are in the right place. Think In Possibilities is a space of encouragement and inspiration to think outside of the proverbial box – and think, instead, in possibilities – in all the areas of your life.

Let’s work together!
