The weight of emotional pain can be unbearable and lonely. It is difficult, impossible even, to envision feeling better, feeling fulfilled, feeling connected or just feeling like yourself again. These emotions may result from substance use/abuse, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship problems, or life/work stressors. I understand how daunting this first step can be and I provide a safe, warm space to help you make your way through this and find your healthy path.
My role as your therapist is to walk with you on your unique path towards healing. I specialize in co-occurring issues, addiction recovery, anxiety, stress and trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, and sense of self. I utilize a person-centered and an eclectic therapeutic approaches while incorporating psychoeducation, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness techniques. Acceptance is core to the work I do. Healing looks and feels different for everyone. Albert Einstein said, "You can't solve a problem with the same kind of thinking that created it." Together let's think about change you want to see.
