About me
My professional expertise emphasizes the dynamic of you and your experiences. I believe treating presenting problems goes beyond reducing their intensity or impairment of functioning. In addition to symptom management, I work with you to understand the internal conflict that urges the symptoms you experience in the first place. Insight into these needs can offer intentional behaviors. In other words, we can begin to materialize obstacles and work with our bodies and minds together to resolve problems. Just imagine, the term "stress" no longer generalizes the complicated mixture of emotions you feel. The work we do together will improve appreciation of all experienced emotions and see the genuine nature of their function in motivating problem-solving behaviors. Allow yourself to imagine the capacity to progress and attain life goals, live authentically through your values and beliefs, and ultimately find purpose and fulfillment in present experiences.
For several years I facilitated psychoeducational and clinical groups that encompass emotion comprehension-regulation, goal acquisition, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, developing boundaries, building resiliency, overcoming procrastination, relapse prevention, stress management, healthy living, sleep hygiene, and overcoming adversity. I was trained in clinical interventions that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered, Psychodynamic, and Clinical Hypnosis. I continue to expand on psychotherapeutic modalities to ensure that my clients are receiving optimal treatment,
I lived and worked across many cultures. I understand the difficulties that can arise from language and cultural barriers based on my personal experience as an immigrant. Born and raised in Belarus, and now my Russian language enables an opportunity to provide support in Ukraine. My experiences also include serving in the US military, which offers unique insight into the needs of veterans.
