About me
Hello, I am a Harvard trained Licensed Psychotherapist and Board Certified Executive-Career-Life Coach with an MBA and more than 30 years experience helping people to flourish in work and life. Our work together would define where you want to go in your life and how you will get there - with special emphasis on what's in the way. You may work on one or more parts of your life. Since 'You are You' wherever you may go, you may find that gains you make in one part of your life significantly improve other parts too. You will decide which part(s) of your life you want to work on. These may include: Work, Play, Family, Friends, Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Money, Romance...
From me you may expect neutrality consistent with my perspective that you are the best person to be in charge of your life. And, you may expect some warmth and humor, as 'I am I' wherever I may go too. I would love to hear from you to talk about how we can work together.
Warm Wishes,
Madelaine
Many busy professionals don't really believe they can make a great living and live a great life—all at the same time. So work stress is rampant and this is not new. My father was a business owner who died at 42 years old. I was 15. The doctor said he died of a cerebral hemorrhage but, since I was grounded at the time for speaking truth to power...again, I was pretty sure he died of me. It was not until one day at the cemetery, when I finally broke down with my mother about how ‘all my fault’ it was, that I found out it was not me after all. In her shining moment as a mom, she said tenderly, “No honey, it wasn’t you. It was work.”
What I learned is that a great life depends on a great fit between who we are and the environments in which we work and live. Otherwise, we are not only stressed but, like fish out of water, potentially worse.
As a Harvard Trained Licensed Psychotherapist, Mindset Expert, and Board Certified Executive-Career-Life Coach, with a clinical degree and MBA; I help busy professionals and entrepreneurs master their minds so they can maintain and enjoy satisfaction and success in all areas of their lives, without burning out.
I am a co-author in the "Handbook of Stressful Transitions Across the Lifespan," and bestselling author of “Getting to G.R.E.A.T: 5-Step Strategy for Work and Life...Based on Science and Stories.”
Featured on NBC, Fox TV, Bold TV, W4WRadio, Talk4TV, Speakers Without Borders, many podcasts including The Partner Podcast, and Major, Lindsey, & Africa’s Erasing the Stigma, I have also written for Thrive Global, Authority Magazine’s Editors List, UpJourney, Marriage dot Com, My Perfect Financial Advisor, and provided training for numerous law firms, the National Association of Realtors, DC Academy of General Dentistry, AARP, the American Bar Association, the International Association of Business Communicators, and the Bureau of National Affairs.
