About me

I am an experienced Clinical Social worker who has worked in the child welfare setting and clinical therapy setting. I work with individuals and families to achieve goals that they identify. My primary objective is to make others feel safe, confident, and balanced. Everyone has strengths, but sometimes we need help to identify and grow those strengths.

I own a private group practice with other social workers and support staff. We have varying areas of expertise, however we all are experienced with trauma and family systems.

Treatment modalities our practice uses include (but are not limited to):
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a psychotherapeutic approach that addresses dysfunctional emotions, maladaptive behaviors and cognitive processes and contents through a number of goal-oriented, explicit systematic procedures.
- Solution focused brief therapy is a type of talking that focuses on what clients want to achieve through therapy rather than on historical problem that made them seek help.
- Play therapy which refers to a range of methods of capitalizing on children's natural urge to explore and harnessing it to meet and respond to the developmental and later also their mental health needs.

Some of the services we provide are:
• Assessments
- Initial assessments are conducted for each individual or family. There are other times where further assessments may be needed, and some times where we may refer out to other providers.
Other assessments can be conducted for custody recommendations, parent/child bonding, guardianship, parenting skills/needs, adoption, home studies, medical procedure assessments
• Individual therapy
• Family therapy
• Group therapy - sessions available for:
- Anger management (children & adults)
- Parenting
- Adoption workshops
- Social Skills
- Divorce Support Groups for Children and Teens
- Effective Communication
- Intensive Co-Parenting
- Successful Stepfamilies
- Domestic Violence Support
- "Tough Love" Co-Parenting
