I seek to make a difference in the Behavioral Health and Addictions Counseling fields with innovative therapies suited to the individual.
Life can be extremely difficult to navigate at times, especially when going through major life transitions. These things can greatly impact our wellbeing, especially if we do not have the proper tools to work through them. It can seem impossible to deal with these life stressors and escape from the overwhelming feelings that accompany them. I can help guide your mental health journey and together we can learn how to manage the challenges life throws at you.
I am a Licensed Addictions Counselor in the State of Colorado and a Master Addiction Clinician with NAADAC, nationally. Mental Health issues are commonly the main source behind the Substance Use Disorders and the two go hand in hand. I have specifically worked with patients that are Dual Diagnosis, those with moderate mental health issues such as PTSD, ADHD, and Anxiety along with Substance Use Disorders.
I hold 2 completed Masters Degrees, one MACI, Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction, which also has a focus on Professional Counseling in 2012, The second is a Master of Science in Addictions Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2013. I am able to work with various levels of clientele. My work with dual diagnosis clientele consists of assisting them in finding a path of care that will work for them. We can explore options together because I do not have all of the answers and sometimes the answers lie deep within you. I can use Solutions-Focused therapy; Rational, Emotive, Behavioral Therapy (REBT); Didactical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); or Mindfulness CBT methods of evidenced-based practice.
I am open to Behavioral Health Assessment, as well as ADHD diagnosis. I have been trained in innovative therapies involving Meridian Acupressure, Tapas Taping, Heart Math (Intentional Breathing), and mindfulness techniques to enhance brain activity for a more holistic approach. I am trained and certified in Bilateral Synchronization Therapy.
I work specifically tele-video, but I am open to meeting face to face, if necessary. I seek to make a difference in the Behavioral Health and Addictions Counseling field.
