Hello & thank you for viewing my profile! Congratulations on taking this first step in seeking guidance to help you through life's challenges. I hold a Master's Degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University. I have been in private practice for many years. I treat a diversity of clients with issues of anxiety, depression, stress-management, identity, relationships, family, grief, school or career, etc. I am very LGBTQ welcoming. I am easy to talk to, accepting, and non-judgmental.
I enjoy treating a diversity of patients and see individuals from teenage through adulthood. I love helping people uncover their untapped strengths and resources, and to assist in guiding them through life's many difficulties. I consider my practice style to be Eclectic, meaning that I draw from several theoretical orientations, and utilize what best fits the patient's particular needs. Some of these approaches are CBT, Family Systems, Psychodynamic, Solution-Based, and Strength-Based approaches.
In our first session, I will learn all about you. I will ask you to share pertinent details of your life, starting from your childhood. By the end of the first session, we will decide together what your biggest concerns are, what your therapy goals should be & how we will address them. I hope that through therapy, you will be able to gain more insight into yourself & what steps you can take to be the best version of you. We will work together on improving your coping skills & feeling happier.
