Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Hi! I am an experienced mental health counselor and I have had the opportunity to work with clients of various ages, genders, and racial/ethnic backgrounds who have experienced an array of symptoms and diagnoses.
I believe that clients are unique in their own way and that everyone's personal background brings a unique perspective. I aim to explore that perspective and help guide client’s in a place where they feel safe and comfortable. This allows for mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth. I utilize evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, mindfulness, and more. I create an individualized treatment plan for each client and help them create realistic and attainable goals. Psychoeducation is an intervention I often incorporate, and I have found that it can help clients better understand their symptoms and/or diagnoses. I often put an emphasis on coping skills, self care, and healthy boundaries, as they are all a very important piece of the healing and growing process.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Connecticut. I received both my Masters degree in Applied Clinical Psychology and Bachelors degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. I have worked at Yale University – School of Medicine as a Clinical Research Counselor and as an Outpatient Mental Health Counselor at a nonprofit organization in Pennsylvania.
I am currently taking clients (ages 18+) for telehealth therapy. I offer therapy in both English and in Arabic (Lebanese dialect).
