About me
Do you struggle with anxiety that is having an impact at work, home, school, and/or in your social life? Or do you have Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), like trichotillomania or dermatillomania, that are impacting your emotional and physical wellbeing? If so, I’d love to work with you as I treat both anxiety disorders and BFRBs. My aim is to help individuals (older children, adolescents, and women) build awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and to identify and use healthier strategies. I address BFRBs using the Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB) treatment model, and I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to help clients better manage their anxiety.
I found my passion for helping clients with BFRBs and anxiety during my 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and worked at McLean Hospital for 14 years. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and also currently work as an Executive Function/Transition Coach.
My approach is collaborative, empathic, and goal-focused. Please reach out to me if you are looking to reduce and better manage your BFRBs and/or anxiety and live a happier, healthier life!
