In addition to being a practicing therapist, I have taught and supervised hundreds of marriage and family therapy graduate students for 15 years at Syracuse University. My attachment specialty equips me to support adoptive and fostering families to practice the unique parenting style that helps reactive children calm down and heal from trauma and caregiver disruptions. In these families, the behavior intensity is less predictive of a good outcome than is parent insight and commitment to the process of change and healing. Whether in individual, couple or family therapy, I can help you get "unstuck" and feel empowered to create better connections with those you care about. I also train therapists in attachment-focused family therapy and in ways to embrace spirituality as a dimension of personhood and relationships.
