About me
Hello! I am an experienced youth and family therapist specializing in supporting adolescents and young adults and adults with complex trauma, developing relational skills, and building resilience.
I am a registered board certified drama therapist, expressive arts therapist, and NY state creative arts mental health counselor under clinical supervision whose focus is working with youth and young adults.
I have worked in a variety of both clinical and non-clinical settings with adolescent clients, young adults, and families which include foster care agencies, respite programs, residential group homes, outpatient community mental health facilities, youth recreational centers, government institutions working with victims of crime and developed and directed an expressive arts therapy program for youth and families.
I have gained post-graduate training in psychology and theatre performance and multiple trainings on trauma and resilience-focused approaches including having trained in and practiced Functional Family Therapy and Treatment Foster Care Oregon, (TFCO) to the treatment of youth in the child welfare system, the justice system, and their families.
My expertise is in working with youth and young adult clients struggling with relational challenges, anxiety, depression, identity issues, and post-traumatic stress.
My work is unique in that I use a multi modal person-centered therapeutic approach in my sessions with clients infusing body based work, mindfulness movement, as well as the full range of expressive arts therapies which include visual art, movement, dance, drama, poetry, expressive writing, music, and sandtray therapy.
Additionally, I apply restorative practices to improve communication skills between parents and youth as well as skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
I currently am a contract provider for the largest intensive outpatient telehealth program in the country, a platform known as Charlie Health, exclusively designed for Adolescents and Young Adults managing a diverse range of clinical and relational needs.
I am also the founder of a private practice working with youth and young adults, providers to youth and families, as well as artists and creatives across the age spectrum in New York City and internationally.
I look forward to working with you and supporting you and your needs.
