I am a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in mind-body wellness to cope with infertility and relationship issues, anxiety, trauma and grief.

I started my private practice Yogology, in 2014 with one goal in mind: to be of service. Therapy to me is about helping others feel safe and in control of their thoughts, reactions, relationships and lives! The number one complaint I hear sounds a little like, "I feel like ____ has totally taken over and I don't even know who I am anymore". This can feel absolutely defeating yet, there is still hope.

Whatever you are going through, it doesn't have to consume you.

Mind-body wellness allows clients to heal in holistic, integrative and lasting ways. Our bodies hold a lot of our emotional wounds and I have found that through traditional yoga, movement, and breath work, clients can tap into some of their stored injuries and process through the pain and traumas. Meditation and mindfulness techniques also allows clients to calm their nervous systems, creating space to feel safe and dig deeper into their stories; stories that may be creating more problems and tension.

As a licensed couples therapist, I also help couples navigate difficult issues, enhance emotional connectedness, heal emotional wounds and develop communication skills that equip the couple for any future drawbacks. Pulling from Sue Johnson's, Emotion Focused Therapy and the Gottman Therapy Model, my couples counseling approach incorporates evidence-based techniques and mind-body practices. Couples often leave my sessions feeling like they have a better understanding of one another as well as a deeper bond.

Infertility issues have become a major hardship in our society, unfortunately. This process can devastate our emotional well-being as well as our relationships with friends, family and ourselves. There are a lot of unanswered questions and confusing emotions as this process unfolds. My services help individuals and couples feel validated, educated and as equipped as possible to navigate this rollercoaster ride. Services include advocacy, couples and individual therapy, yoga and relaxing meditation.

I also specialize in trauma, anxiety and grief counseling. Clients who may be experiencing one or a combination of these, need a space to better understand what they are going through and feel more empowered in their healing process. Calming of the nervous system and feeling less in a fight or flight state, is exactly how clients start to feel less paralyzed by their pain. This is when the work feels meaningful and effective.

If you feel as though you or your relationship is suffering and having a difficult time 'getting through', I am here to assist.
