I am an Associate Professional Counselor, currently working via telehealth in Oregon. I help people with transitions and stress, especially focusing on GLBTQIA+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, and other individuals who have been marginalized.

Hello and welcome to my private practice that I call Preferred Stories Counseling . This practice consists of a small, select group of motivated individuals who embody Michael White's statement: “The person is not the problem. The problem is the problem.” As a team, we identify, describe, and put the problem in its place. As we do this, we reconstruct a personal narrative to help you improve your life. Please note, this private practice is not suited for individuals who need intensive care–I suggest you find a mental health clinic for that purpose. This practice is great for people with issues around grief and loss, transitions (including gender affirmation and coming out), and thriving with neurodivergence. I am a creative person and welcome others who think outside of the box–writers, musicians, artists, animal lovers, vegetarians, nature junkies, political activists, or just other free-thinking individuals! I celebrate BIPOC communities and own up to any privilege that may limit my understanding: I work to improve my cultural competencies every day. I start where you are, working with your values, your culture, your goals and never ever judging.
